Asia Markets 9/12/2006 Bridgestone Off Sharply, Cathay Pacific Up
Asian markets were mixed with the Nikkei down.
The Nikkei fell .5% to 15,719. Bridgestone was down 2.1% to 2360. Canon was down .7% to 5720. Fujitsu was down .7% to 903. Fuji Photo was up .5% to 4280. Hitachi was down .7% to 711. Honda was down 1.1% to 3750. NEC was down .8% to 657. NTT was .2% to 572. Docomo was flat at 179000. Sharp was flat at 2005. Softbank was up .5% to 2155. Sony was down .6% to 4880. Toshiba was up .3% to 802. Toyota was up .2% to 6140.
The Hang Seng was up .9% to 17,099. Cathay Pacific was up 2.1% to 14.9. China Mobile was up 1.9% to 51.7. China Netcom was up .3% to 13.68. HSBC was up .6% to 138.9. PCCW was flat at 4.9.
The KOSPI was down .5% to 1,328.
The Straits Times was down .2% to 2,485.
The Shanghai Composite was up 1.3% to 1,696.
