Asian markets were mixed with the Nikkei down and the Hang Seng up.
The Nikkei was off 1% to 15,719. Canon was off .3% to 5950. Daiwa Secutities was off 2.6% to 1,294. Fuji Photo was off .7% to 4340. Hitachi was off 2.2% to 663. Honda was off .8% to 3830. Japan Air was off 1.3% to 236. NTT was off 1.6% to 564000. Nissan was off .6% to 1311. Sharp was off 1.9% to 2065. Sony was off 2% to 4830. Softbank was off 3% to 2075. Toshiba was off 2.4% to 777. Toyota was off .8% to 6230. Yahoo Japan was off 3% to 40200.
The Hang Seng was up .8% to 17.483. Cathay Pacific was up 1.9% to 15.86. China Mobile was up 3.8% to 54.25. China Netcom was up .7% to 13.8. HSBC was .5% to 140.7. PCCW was down .8% to 4.83.
The KOSPI was down .6% to 1,366.
The Straits Times was down .3% to 2,530.
The Shanghai Composite was down .2% to 1,732.
