Asian Markets 9/14/2006 Japan Air, Honda Up Sharply

Asian markets were mostly higher.

The Nikkei was up 1.2% to 15,942. Canon was up 1.4% to 5920. Daiwa Securities was down .5% to 1334. Fuji Photo was up .9% to 4410. Hitachi was up .8% to 716. Honda was up 2.7% to 3860. Japan Air was up 4.7% to 244. NEC was up .3% to 670. NTT was .3% to 579000. Nissan was up 3.1% to 1331. Sharp was up .7% to 2085. Sony was up 1.4% to 5010. Softbank was down 2.8% to 2075. Toshiba was down 1% to 801. Toyota was up 1.1% to 6270.

The Hang Seng was off .2% to 17,177. Cathay Pacific was flat at 15. China Mobile was down 1.5% to 51.45. China Unicom was down 1.8% to 7.33. HSBC was down .1% to 139.7. PCCW was up .2% to 4.96.

The KOSPI was up 1.9% to 1,359.

The Straits Times was up .2% to 2,512.

The Shanghai Composite was flat at 1,689.
