Cellphone Nation: The Phone Company Wants To Replace Your iPod

Added to the daily list of devices that will do battle with the iPod, Sony Ericcson has launched a family of phones that will take music downloads.

The advantage that the cell companies have is their huge distribution. Strategy Analysts say that 800 million phones sold in 2010 will have music download capabililty. Apples now sells just over 8 million iPods a quarter.
