Europe Market Report 9/20/2006 BMW, Alcatel Up Sharply

European markets were up at 5.25 AM New York time.

The FTSE was up less than .1% at 5,835. Barclays was up 1.1% to 666.5. BP was up .2% to 581.5. British Air was up 1% to 425. BT was down .4% to 252.5. GlaxoSmithKline was down .1% to 1432. Prudential was up 1.1% to 613.5. Reuters was up .3% to 408. Unilever was up .3% to 1274. Vodafone was up .2% to 114.5.

The DAXX was up .5% to 5,904. Bayer was down .2% to 39.04. BMW was up 1.6% to 40.42. DaimlerChrysler was up 1.4% to 39.36. DeutscheBank was up .8% to 91.85. Deutsche Telekom was up 1.5% to 11.88. SAP was up 1.4% to 153.29.

The CAC 40 was up .5% to 5,142. Alacatel was up 1.8% to 9.3. AXA was up .5% to 28.56. France Telecom was up 1.7% to 17.32. ST Micro was up .8% to 13.22. Vivendi was up .4% to 27.03.
