Shamrock Activist Value Fund Discloses 5.3% in Modine Manufacturing (MOD)

In a 13D filing after the close on Modine Manufacturing Co. (NYSE: MOD) Shamrock Activist Value Fund disclosed a 5.3% stake (1.7 million shares) in the company.

The fund said it has no current plans or proposals with respect to the Company or its securities of the types enumerated in paragraphs (a) through (j) of this Item 4 to the form Schedule 13D promulgated under the Act.
According to the fund's website, Shamrock has utilized its activist strategy to invest over $825 million of investment capital in 30 companies and currently has $925 million of committed capital. Shamrock's activist investment philosophy relies of finding "deep value" companies to invest in and then buying influential equity stakes that permit "responsible activism."
