Asian Markets 9/25/2006 NTT Up Sharply, Sony Down

Asian markets were largely flat.

The Nikkei was down a fraction to 15,634. Bridgestone was down 1.7% to 2315. Canon was up .9% to 5930. Fuji Photo was down .9% to 4200. Hitachi was up .9% to 663. Honda was flat at 3830. NEC was down .3% to 655. Nissan Motors was up .5% to 1320. NTT was up 2.3% to 572000. Docomo was down .5% to 181000. Sharp was down .2% to 2065. Sony was down .8% to 4730. Softbank was down .9% to 2110. Toshiba was 1.4% to 755. Toyota was up .3% to 6290.

The Hang Seng was down .1% to 17,577. Cathay Pacific was up .3% to 15.8. China Mobile was up .9% to 55.7. China Unicom was down 1.7% to 7.52. HSBC was down .1% to 141.5. PCCW was up .6% to 4.84.

The KOSPI was up .5% to 1,355.

The Straits Times was up a fraction to 2,521.

The Shanghai Composite was down .2% to 1,722.
