According to Reuters, Hewlett-Packard has made no decision on the fate of its non-executive Chairman who may have been aware of illegal procurement of another directors phone information. The board of the company plans to meet again today.

Reuters also reports that the Nasdaq Stock Market is targeting Chinese public companies to list on the exchange.

The Wall Street Journal writes that Telecom Italia is about to announce that it will sell its Telecom Intalia Mobile unit to focus on delivery of content over the internet.

A group of private equity firms is close to acquiring chip firm Freescale. It would be the largest ever buy-out of a tech company.
