According to Reuters, Microsoft announced that it had filed 20 lawsuits against resellers alledging that their distribution of infringing software had damaged the big software maker.

Reuters writes that Toshiba will replace 300,000 Sony batteries in it PCs following similar moves by Dell and Apple. The batteries are considered a potential fire hazard.

Reuters reports that Microsoft has launched a video sharing service to compete with You Tube.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Home Depot defended its CEO's pay and performance but said the retailers compensation policy would be reviewed.

The Wall Street Journal also reports that the CEO of The Tribune Company defended the company's management of The Los Angeles Times. Some of the company's investors have called for the sale of the big West Coast newspaper.

The Wall St. Journal writes that BP has delayed the start of operations of its Gulf oil field sending oil prices up slightly.

The New York Times reports that Revlon replaced its CEO as the company continued a period of poor financial performance.
