Reuters reports that Intel cut 10,500 jobs, about 10% of its workforce, as part of a plan to become more competitive with AMD.

Reuters writes that with Ford appointing a new CEO, it is unclear what will happen to Mark Fields, head of North American operations.

Reuters reports that Vivendi will buy BMG Music Publising for $2.1 billion.

Reuters also writes that SpiralFrog, the music download service, has cut a deal with EMI Music for its library. SpiralFrog's download service is funded by advertising as opposed to the pay-per-song model at Apple iTunes.
